Project manager // Game designer (graduate)
Kana • 2022 - 2022Graduation game design project.
I delivered the company a proof of concept on a serious game concept that learned high-schoolers about stress and how they can work with it in a positive light.
By creating a tell-tale-like immersion game that functioned as a lesson for class, the kids learned about stress while they were focussing on making choices within the game. This eventually made the topic of stress less hard to talk about for them, which made it easier for them to figure out how they react in their own way when stressed. -
Communication & Multimedia Designer
NHL Stenden • 2018 - 2022After finishing my associate's degree I still felt like there was more to learn about game design and what soft skills are needed within the branch. This is where I started a bachelor's degree in Communication & Multimedia Design.
Constantly working in teams on projects with real clients gave me insights into project management and team building next to concepting, prototyping, and testing the products made.
Eventually graduating as a full-fledged Designer with a focus on Gamedesign. -
3D character artist (intern)
Extra Nice • 2020 - 2021Doing character art on two separate games, SCHiM, and the Tomorrow game.
For SCHiM I created a set of characters of all shapes and sizes to figure out how they looked in-game. Meant as concepts but some even made it into the game itself.
For the Tomorrow game, I made a 3D horror clown character acting as the villain in the game. -
3D generalist
Kana • 2018 - 2018Created a 3D library and continued making 3D assets for the game Stressjam (Now Kana VR). Stopped working to continue studying.

3D generalist (Intern)
Kana • 2017 - 2017My first ever real working experience as a 3D generalist doing modeling, animations, and textures alike. Something notable about this internship was that I got to understand some of the basics of handpainted texturing which I eventually completely fell in love with and learn about to this day!

Game artist
Friesland college • 2016 - 2018I started doing an Associate's degree study in game design because of my love for games like Zelda the Windwaker, Metroid Prime, and League of Legends.
Within this period I learned the touches of becoming an all-round game designer with a focus on 3D art. Eventually, within 3 years, I graduated as a game artist.
