After finishing Pacific Storm I had the great opportunity to be the lead environment artist for the remainder of the Battlefield V live service. Provence XL and Al Marj Encampment are the last two maps we created and they both presented fun challanges for the team. Al Marj was originally created for 5v5 by the awesome team at DICE LA but unfortunately wasn't able to be completed before the mode was cut. Our job was to build on the great work already done and convert the map for 64 players.
Provence had already been released as a fun small game modes map by DICE LA and the challenge was to translate the entire backdrop into playable space plus creating new lighting to give the map a fresher feel.
The map pods did an amazing job shipping both maps and all credit goes to them and of course everyone at DICE LA for the original maps.
Libya- Daniel Cambrand, Otto Ostera, Lars Martensson and Matthias Wagner.
Provence- Pawel Nowak, Billy Halden and Inge Holberg.
Lighting- Anders Lorentzen, Karl Stjernberg and Geoffroy Calis.
